This site has all the info you need to come celebrate with us for THE BIG DAY.
By SHANCE
Some love stories start with a lightning strike, but ours began with a slow burn… and a ten-year detour.
For an entire decade, we were simply faces in the background of each other’s lives—acquaintances who knew of each other but never truly knew one another. We lived our own lives, moved in different circles, and let ten years quietly pass by.
But timing is everything.
On April 14, 2026, everything changed. After ten years of silence, we reconnected on social media. A conversation began, and suddenly, the acquaintance from our past became the only person who mattered in our present.
The chemistry was instant and undeniable. What started as catching up quickly turned into a deep and unstoppable connection, and before long, we officially began our journey side by side.
From that day forward, we fit perfectly into each other’s lives. Whether we were balancing the hustle of our daily routines, encouraging one another through new career goals, or simply relaxing and enjoying quality time together at home, everything became better when we worked as a team. We bring out the absolute best in each other, grounded in love, leadership, unwavering support, and a shared vision for the future we’re building together.
Now, we stand on the edge of our biggest milestone yet.
On August 22, 2026, we will stand before our closest family and friends at the beautiful Jackson Breezy Open-Air Lawn and say, “I do.”
The ten years we spent as acquaintances were only the prologue
THE PROPOSAL
By Alexei
I believe this proposal needs a little backstory on how Alexei and Shance came to be.
We met in April of 2026, and honestly, I thought she was just going to be some random girl I met online and eventually forget about. But… BOY, was I wrong.
We started talking on April 10th, if I’m not mistaken, and for the first three or four days, everything was going great. Then, I believe it was around April 15th, I didn’t message my future wife for over 10 hours… the day after we made things official. I know, I know… bad move.
Trust me, though, this beautiful woman I now get to call my wife was ready to give up right then and there. She was basically thinking, “Nope, I’m not dealing with this crap.”
That mistake led to hours of begging, which turned into days of apologizing and asking for forgiveness. I got to the point where I refused to give up. It was either we were going to work through this together, or I wasn’t going to stop fighting for us. I know what you’re probably thinking—that sounds toxic—but the only reason I kept pushing was because I knew she loved me. Call me delusional if you want, and I’m sure she and everyone else probably did too, but I truly believed that if I kept showing her how serious I was, she’d eventually come around.
After all of that, I told her I wanted to give her a promise ring so she’d know I’d never make a mistake like that again. But she looked at me and said, “I don’t believe in promise rings. It’s either an engagement ring or none at all.”
And… well… the rest is history.
Because as you can all see today… we’re getting married.
